Community Archery

Shooting style is committed to the development of archery in local communities .Over the last twenty five years we have introduced the sport to a multitude of people from varying backgrounds.We have ignited the interest in many who have gone on to represent Ireland at international level.

During the summer of 2010 we taught children from the South inner city and Rialto for the first time and the response was very encouraging. These events are of great benefit to all involved but the problem lies in retaining the interest. In the coming months we will begin working actively with community groups such as River Youth Services, South West Inner City Networks,Tolka Partnership and various groups involved in the development of youth services. Our long-term objective is to put archery into the public consciousness as an enjoyable alternative sport, to provide an activity which has both physical and mental benefits and to let communities which otherwise have no access to such sports,participate in and improve its profile countrywide.
